MacVoices #1108: The Road to Macworld – Tibor Horvath Customizes Your iDevice Music with Equalizer

Our Road to Macworld series continues with a developer’s eye discussion with indie app developer Tibor Horvath, the author of Equalizer and several other audio apps for your iDevice. Tibor explains the features of Equalizer for both casual listeners who want to customize their audio experience and those who want to create and manipulate music on the go. A first-time exhibitor and attendee, Tibor talks about what he hopes to get out of his first Macworld experience and how he wants to gather even more face-to-face user feedback on all his programs.

The Road to Macworld continues to be a busy one, this time with a conversation with Kyle Wiens, co-founder and CEO of iFixit and the main man of the feature presentation “iFixit live! The Teardown Experts Show Off Apple’s Hardware – From the Inside Out.” Kyle discusses how he got started taking things apart and why being able to do so is important part of evaluating the lifespan and viability of electronics. Apple’s design and manufacturing decisions have impacted consumers’ ability to maintain and repair their devices; Kyle talks about the trends he sees and what they mean, Apple’s affect on the industry and how they compare to others, and how he and his team will attempt live repairs on audience-provided devices at his Macworld session.

MacVoices #1106: The Road to Macworld – Anders Grunnet-Jepsen On How The iWavit Can Remote Control Almost Anything

Taking at look at The Road to Macworld from a brand new exhibitor’s perspective, Anders Grunnet-Jepsen of ThinkOptics talks about why they are coming to Macworld to show off the iWaveit for iPhone and iPad. There are plenty of universal remote solutions out there, even some for the iPhone and iPad, but none quite like iWavit. Going beyond just your home theater, iWaveit can control virtually anything that has remote capabilities. Anders gives us an overview of the hardware and software solution that lets you take advantage of pre-programed remotes, other users’ creations and even build your very own virtual remote to fit your equipment and how you use it.

MacVoices #1105: The Road to Macworld – Christopher Breen Talks About His Many Macworld Activities

The Road to Macworld takes us to Christopher Breen who might just be the busiest man at Macworld 2011. Not only is Chris delivering three different sessions, but is also producing and participating in a number of discussions on the Macworld Live stage on the show floor, and displaying his (music) keyboard talents with the Macworld All-Star Band at Cirque du Mac. Chris talks about each in turn, and makes it hard to choose between them.
