The new Take Control of VMware Fusion 3 is a first for the Take Control ebooks. Author Joe Kissell outlines why it is free (yes, free), and why it is even better than free. Joe then turns his attention to the subject of the book, and explains why VMware Fusion 3 is his favorite option for running Windows on the Mac. Joe talks about the many ways of installing Windows using Fusion, and the benefits of each, how you can interact with Fusion from the Mac’s command line (and why you would want to), and how you can even install Mac OS X Server in a virtual machine using Fusion. Sometimes more is less; Joe covers improvements in Fusion’s Unity mode, how the competition to run Windows on the Mac benefits us all, and why improved virtualization options help sell Macs.
