With an extremely flexible license structure and affordable price points, Stock20’s extensive library makes it easy to add music to any audio or video project. When you purchase, you don’t just get a single track, but variations on the track in both length and composition. Daniel explains how the variations work, how they are delivered, and why you get a complete-satisfaction guarantee from Stock20. Daniel’s sense of humor comes through as he decides to offer MacVoices’ listeners a discount to help them get started with using Stock20’s many offerings.

On the show floor at New Media Expo, Andrew Welch, el Presidente of Ambrosia Software, talks about their new sound utility, Wiretap Anywhere. Not just a podcast took, Wiretap Anywhere allows the user to gather and manage virtually any audio source, internal or external, with ease, mixing them together, controlling how they interact, and more. Andrew describes WireTap Anywhere as a software patch board, letting the user export their work in as many channels as needed to GarageBand, or mixed down to mono or stereo. Andrew also gives us a sneak-peak at another beta project, Soundboard, and how it emulates a radio sound cart for users who need to easily trigger sound effects and pre-recorded segments a specific points in a live project.

Rich Mogull discusses some of the security issues that came to light at the recent Black Hat and DEFCON conferences in Las Vegas. Rich walks us through why even Mac users need to be concerned with security in the browser, in Google Widgets and Google Gears, and even when using your favorite social network. Rich explains that even he got hacked by a social engineering trick at the conference, covers how malicious code can be hidden almost anywhere, even in an image file and more. Most important, Rich helps us understand the DNS vulnerabilities that were the talk of the conferences, and reveals a simple precaution that any Mac user can take to protect themselves. Links:
